Robert W. Lockbaum

Robert Wesley "Bob" Lockbaum, 78, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home. Born January 17, 1945 in Waynesboro, he was the foster son of the late Rev. John Franklin Grove and Almeda Landis Grove. His beloved wife of 54 years, Barbara Frank Lockbaum, preceded him in death on August 29, 2018.
Bob was the owner/operator of Bob's Auto Service in Chambersburg. He enjoyed puzzles, woodworking, working on classic cars and scooters, fishing, hunting and tinkering in his shop. He was a hardworking, dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by two grandchildren, Danielle Haines (Brian), and Corey Hege, both of Chambersburg; three great grandchildren, Dallas, Luke and Michael Haines; and one sister, Esther Johnsons of Chambersburg. Aside from his foster parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Marie Hege in 2016; one sister, Ruth West; and three foster brothers, Dwight, John and Ethan Grove.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Rev. Philip Foster will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
