Memorial Services for Robert "Darrin" Luneau will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana.
Interment to follow at Alexandria Memorial Gardens in Woodworth, Louisiana.
A Memorial Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Robert "Darrin" Luneau, age 59 of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Christus Highland Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
Darrin is preceded in death by his step-son, Randall Wayne Ballard; his father, R.J, Luneau; and his step-father, Lester Weeks.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Angelia Luneau; his loving children, Mackenzie Ayn Luneau (Brady), and Taylor Bates Lively (Jenn); his 6 grandchildren, Christian Hamner, Maverick Hamner, Emillie Blu Lively, Camille " YaYa" Lively, Trevor Hannah, and Chaz Hannah; his mother, Deanna Weeks; his step-mother, Linda Luneau; his sister, Nancy Rollins; his mother-in-law, Doris Williams; his sisters-in-law, Dawne McCabe (Ben), Joy Ladner (Dave); and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Darrin was a retired Captain from the Pineville Police Department after 28 years of faithful service. While there, he also served as an officer with the D.A.R.E program. Following his retirement, he continued his public service as a Probation Officer for the City of Pineville. Darrin, an avid LSU Sports fan, enjoyed cooking, and riding his motorcycle. Above all, his passion was spending time with his grandchildren along with the rest of his family and friends. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, step-father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctor Scott Boniol and his dedicated team at the Christus Cancer Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, as well as his sister-in-law, Dawne McCabe for her selfless compassionate care during his hospital stays. in lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the "Darrin Luneau Memorial Fund" at Red River Bank.
