Robert J. Lyons

Robert J. Lyons, 82, of Hopelawn, passed away on April 6, 2025, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Robert was born in Jersey City and lived in Hopelawn for 32 years. He was a veteran of the Navy serving from 1961-1964. Robert was a factory worker for Hills Bros. Coffee for 32 years and a member of the Teamsters Union #641, Union.
Robert loved his sports teams. He was a die-hard NY Giants and Boston Red Sox fan. He loved to watch the games with his daughter Colleen. He loved spending time with his family just sitting around and enjoying the simple things in life.
Robert was predeceased by his mother Harriet in 1987, his father Thomas in 1949, and wife Alexis Lyons in 2024.
He is survived by his daughters, Colleen Lyons-Wells and son-in-law Bruce and Dawn Marie Roche and son-in-law Adam Kaminsky; his grandchildren, Kayla Mae and Summer Rose and his adopted grandchildren, Adam David and Emma; he is also survived by his cat, Kit Kit.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 11, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM with a catholic wake service at 7:00 PM at Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.
A private burial will be held on Monday April 14, 2025, at Brigadier William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Wrightstown.
