Robert C. Maddocks

Robert C. Maddocks, 79, of Newport passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at home under the care of his family and hospice.
Robert was born to the late George Davis and Anna Marie Crosby in Bridgeton, NJ. He graduated from Bridgeton High School class of 1963 and attended Salem Co. VoTech. Robert was the owner/operator of Holding Exterminating Co. and he worked for various companies including JED Fleet Service doing truck maintenance, AJ Construction as a construction worker, Manetas Farms as a truck driver, Unimin Corporation where he retired from and Laning Brothers Farms where he worked for a few years after retirement.
Robert enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, fishing and gardening. He kept his yard pristine which was his pride and joy and made sure it was decorated for every holiday and season. His favorite sports teams were; Notre Dame, Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Yankees.
Robert is survived by; children, Bobbi Jo (Merritt) Crawford (Steve), Bryan Maddocks, and Nickie Maddocks; 10 grandchildren, Brandon (Anastasia), Daniel (Salah), Philip (Jenna), Anna, Joseph (Abigail), Sarah, Lydia, Samantha, Holly and Bryan; eight great-grandchildren, Lucy, David, Grace, Esther, Adore', Jacob, Jackson and Frankie. He was preceded in death by; his parents, George Davis and Anna Crosby; sister, Charlotte Ann Walton; brother, Thomas Maddocks; grandson, Christian Crawford; and his ex-wife/friend, Bonnie Franks.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, at12 NOON, at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME 1107 Hwy 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 NOON prior to the service. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park, 794 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton.
