Robert Main, 79 of Parlin, New Jersey died on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Hackensack Meridian Health Hospital, Perth Amboy. Born Wednesday, August 21, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, Bob was the son of the late John and Anna Main. Bob was raised in Brooklyn. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served his country honorably and faithfully in the Vietnam War. After earning an honorable discharge Bob returned to Brooklyn. He would then earn his college degree and start a long career in finance. Bob moved to Hazlet, New Jersey and raised his children there. Bob continued his career working with JP Morgan, becoming a Vice President within the company. he would meet and marry Marie Legnetti, and they settled in Parlin. Bob enjoyed spending his time traveling with Marie. He was a collector of stamps and coins, and a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He will be missed by all those that were blessed to have him in their lives. Bob was predeceased by his brother John Main Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Marie, by his loving children, Christina Main and her husband George, Scott Main and his children, Jack, James, and Jason. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service located at 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Morganville, NJ. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.HegartyScaliaFuneralHome.com
