Joseph Faranda

It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph Anthony Faranda, age 71 of Stamford, Connecticut on October 1, 2025. Known affectionately by his family as Reeb, Joseph was born on November 30, 1953, to Angela and Carmelo Faranda in Queens, NY. After receiving his PhD from the University of Delaware, he went on to have a successful career as a Marketing and Business Executive. More recently, he left the corporate world to fulfill a lifelong dream by becoming a teacher at Archbishop Stepinac High School, where he was beloved by students and faculty. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his wit, his cheerful nature, his generosity, and his kindness to all. He could light up the room. He was curious about the world, adventurous, and loved sports. He was a devoted Yankees and Giants fan and an avid golfer. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Aja, his brother Thomas, his sister Angela, his partner, Diane Feuer and stepdaughters Sydnee and Jacie, and his dearest friends Vincent and Lynn DelMastro. He was beloved by his nephew Adam and his niece Elizabeth and their children. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
