Robert George Martin

Robert G. Martin Sr., age 71, of Canton, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born December 1, 1953 in Canton to his parents, the late, Edward Walter and Anna Claira (Novak) Martin. He retired from The Timken Company in 2016 after over 30 years of service.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, going fishing and his grandchildren were the "apple of his eye". He worked hard his whole life, providing well for his family but never missed the events of his children and family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Martin; sisters, Rita Fisher and Rose Youtzey.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lorrie Ann Martin; son, Robert (Jessica) Martin Jr. and Jeremy (Danni) Martin; daughter, Misty (Brian) Mitchell; five grandchilren, Emily (Garrett) Crum, Megan (Noah) Gourley, Makenzie, Makayla and Maxwell Martin; great grandson, Parker Crum and an expected great grandchild; and a brother, Thomas Martin.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. There will be one hour of calling hours prior to the service on Monday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
