Robert T. Martioski, 92, of Otter River, died peacefully Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Alliance Health at Baldwinville after a period of declining health.

Born in Gardner on September 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Lillian R. (Colon) Martioski. Robert worked for many years as a steelworker with C&W Fabricators until his retirement.

Robert was an avid bowler who participated in various bowling leagues throughout Gardner. He also enjoyed playing cards and watching his favorite game shows. Above all else, Robert cherished time spent with his family, who were the greatest joys of his life. He shared a particularly special bond with his granddaughter, Madison. Robert will be fondly remembered for his gentle smile and contagious laughter.

He is survived by his son, Gary A. Martioski of Athol; his daughter, Lori J. Martioski-Taylor and her husband Clark of Germantown, MD; three grandchildren, Madison Taylor, Erin Martioski, and Andrew Martioski; one great-grandchild; his siblings, Pamela Martioski, Deborah Hart, Kathy Cormier, Kenneth Martioski, and Theresa Shappell; several nieces, nephews and cousins

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley A. (Hentnik) Martioski, who died in 2011; and by his siblings, Joseph Martioski Jr., Daniel Martioski, Ann Nix, Pearl Evans, Beverly Racine, Lillian Newton, and Rosemary Uppgard.

A special thank you to Dr. David Havlin and the wonderful staff at Alliance Health at Baldwinville for their compassionate care and kindness.

Visitation will be private. Graveside Services at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be announced and held at later date
