Robert Elias Mathieu II, born October 1, 1971, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 53.

Robert was a faithful member of Freedom Ministry of the South. He enjoyed grilling with his Freedom family at The Grove in Sulphur and at his Aunt Susy's home alongside his cousin Jamie and the rest of his loved ones. Some of his favorite memories were made while vacationing at Cade's Cove and Gulf Shores.

He will be remembered for his strong Alabama accent, his selfless heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need. Robert loved unconditionally, always stood up for the underdog, and lived his life teaching others to learn from his experiences and to choose a better path.

Robert's life was a testament to kindness, humility, and love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Marion Ellis & Linda Arlene Parker Mathieu; his beloved Aunt Molly Spicer; grandparents, Harold & Virgie Spicer, and Gay & Doris Parker.

He is survived by one son, Robert Ellis Mathiew III and wife Katie; grandchildren, Anna Mathieu and Nolan Mathieu; one brother, Richard Mathieu; aunts, Susan Spicer Alford (Tim), Gloria Parker Stewart, Denise Parker, Gayle Parker Carter; uncles, Chuck Spicer, Cecil Spicer, and Charlie Parker; step daughters, Haley, Carley and Caliann Cash.

Family lead services will begin 11am Satuday, September 13, 2025, officiated by Sean Barron at Sulphur Community Church. Visitation will begin at 10am until time of service.
