Nashville Cremation Center - NashvilleRobert Michael Mauk, known to family and friends as Michael, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born with a creative spirit, Michael was a talented artist and musician who shared his gifts generously with those around him. He was also an excellent cook who loved to entertain, bringing people together with warmth, laughter, and good food. A man of many passions, he enjoyed culture, travel, and the beauty of languages—spending much of his life learning several and delighting in the connections they brought.
Michael was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife, Therese Plante; his daughter, Tressa Mauk Buschert (Chad); his brothers, Rick Mauk (Sam) and David Mauk (Sue). He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Mauk Adam (Robby).
Faith and fellowship were important to Michael, and he cherished time spent with his church community as well as with friends and family who will miss him dearly.
A Holy Eucharist will be held at Saint James the Less Episcopal church at 411 W Due West Avenue, Madison, TN 37115 on November 15, 2025 at 10:30am, with the Reverend John Smith celebrating. Immediately following will be a Celebration of Life in the same location from 12:00pm - 3:00pm for all the many friends and family who wish to come and share memories and stories of Michael’s life.
Michael’s legacy lives on through the love he shared, the art and music he created, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
