William Terrance Krebs, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2026 at Charter Senior
Living Home in Gallatin Tennessee. Willie was born on January 27th, 1943 in Erie Pennsylvania
to Edith and John Krebs, who preceded him in death. Willie was married to Betty Krebs for 49
years before her passing in 2014. He leaves behind a Son, Deric Hines and his wife, Lisa Hines
of Mt. Juliet Tennesee, and a daughter Kim Wood and her husband Donnie Wood of Griffin
Georgia. He had 5 grandchildren, Mr. Steve Hines and wife Kandra from Griffin Georgia, Mr.
Jonathan Hines and wife Brooke of Mt. Juliet, Ms. Stephanie Hines of Murfreesboro Tennessee , Brianna
Greenwood of San Antonio Texas and Donald Wood Jr. also of San Antonio. Willie was also
blessed with four great grandchildren, Emma and Jordon Hines of Griffin, Georgia and Weston
and Pressley Hines of Mt. Juliet. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. June Thomas.
Willie served 20 years in the US Air Force and retired from the military in 1980. He then went on
to serve with the Travis County Sheriff’s Department from 1982 until he retired in 2002 as a
Captain in the Corrections Division. He and Betty retired to Rockport Texas, where they enjoyed
fishing and spending time with friends. Willie was known for his humor and quick smile. While he
and Betty had no children of their own, he took on the role as father to Deric and Kim.
The family would like to thank the staff at Charter Senior Living for the wonderful care of Willie in
his twilight days. Also a special thank you to his daughter in law, Lisa, who took extra care to
know how much Willie was loved and cherished. Willie and Betty will be interned together at the
Middle Tennesse States Veterans cemetery in Nashville, Friday October 10th at 2:00pm
