Indianapolis – Robert Charles Maxey, Sr., passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born February 6, 1969 Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert E. Maxey and Linda (Zimmerman) Moore. Robert attended Emmerich Manual High School. After high school, Robert became a painter with Applied Coating and he spent many years employed with them.
Robert enjoyed spending time outside camping, fishing, hunting and playing basketball. He was an avid fan of Michael Jordan, Jeff Gordon and the Indianapolis Colts and spent much of his time cheering them on. Amongst his favorite things were sour candy and cheese pizza.
He loved his family, friends and dogs and would spend as much time with them as he could. His family describes him as having a kind heart, being helpful and having a beautiful smile.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Zimmerman) Moore. He is survived by his father and step-mother Robert E. and Sharon M. Maxey; children, Robert Jr., Christa, Alysia, Sarah and Rachel Maxey; step-children, Amanda, Melissa and Tony Davis, siblings, Tommy and Johnny Maxey and James Zimmerman numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
