Robert McCabe Obituary
As a graduate of Dubin High School in 1960, Jack was already an avid farmer raising cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, as well as growing crops. He eventually bought a farm on Industrial Parkway and continued to farm, still planting and harvesting corn, wheat, and soybeans.
Jack was a master mechanic with ingenious ability and profound ingenuity to repair or build absolutely anything. In 1967, he built his own farm tractor famously known as "Black Jack", which has been featured on RFD-TV, and in numerous articles and parades.
He enjoyed traveling and camping, horses, snowmobiles, and vacationing with friends. Jack especially enjoyed going out to breakfast every morning to socialize as well as going all over town to his favorite food places and restaurants.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin L. and Eva (Brown) McCabe; five siblings: Edwin E. (Gladys), George, Marie (Loran), Ruth (Ronald), and Sharon (Charles); grandson Joseph McCabe; and nephew Mike Faulk.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Sharon Lee McCabe, whom he married on March 28,1973 at Jerome Methodist Church.
He is also survived by his children: Wendy (Brent) Clemons, Diana (Jacky) Brown, and Keith (Teresa) McCabe; stepchildren: Kim (John) Shultz, Candie (Bud) Quick, and Jerrie (Jeff) Quick; grandchildren: Bobby, Kyle, Lynett, Shawn, David, John Alan, Kristin, Kaity, Jeffrey, Jeremy, and Justine; great-grandchildren: Joey, Detrick, Jeanine, Ilena, Stephanie, and Jordan; sisters-in-law Carol Graney and Gladys McCabe; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a Tribute Memorial, featuring "Black Jack", to honor and celebrate Jack's life and legacy, this summer at The Miami Valley Steam Threshers Show in July, 2026.

May Jack rest in peace ! I will miss eating breakfast with him at Farmers Daughter most mornings and listening to his life long stories and the many pictures he always shared ! May God be with him and his family !
