Robert Lee McClammy, Shunktoga Nagi Wachina (Dancing Wolf Spirit), age 59, of Hayward, WI, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his home.
Robert was born May 1, 1965, in Poplar, MT, the biological son of George and Adelle (Uherka) McClammy. He was raised by his adoptive parents Raymond and Dulcie (McClammy) Wolf Sr. and was a member of the Oglala Sioux Nation.
Robert graduated from Hayward High School in 1983 then moved to Montana and began cattle ranching with Dunn and Faith. He became a wildfire fighter and also worked on oil rigs with Willis and cousin Todd. As a firefighter, he received an award for thinking fast to save a fellow firefighter's life when they became trapped.
After tragically losing his daughter Sherry in an accident he moved to Wisconsin with his youngest children to be near his mother, Dulcie, and sisters. He worked as a cook at SevenWinds Casino for many years and enjoyed being around his old high school buddies.
Robert had so much compassion for others yet was living with the loss of yet another child, Mark, whose loss remains unsolved, and all his friends and relatives who have gone before him. He was always a hard worker with crazy humor. He said, "I came into this world with nothing, and I still have most of it left!"
He is survived by his sons Michael & Tristen McClammy; daughter Mariah McClammy; grandchildren; sisters Mary & Phyllis Wolf, Iva (David Clark) GreyWolf, Dulcie Rae (Bryan) Chance, Faith (Dun) O'Conner, Haven Gourneau, Velvet Schneider, Gaynell Bearcub & Delrae Reddoor; brother Patrick McClammy; many nephews, nieces & other family members and lifelong special friend, Anna Eder.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sherry McClammy; son Mark McClammy; brothers Reese Reddoor, George O. & Willis McClammy; brother-in-law Frank Gourneau; sister Anne McClammy.
Honorary pall bearers are Michael McClammy, Brian Diamond, Donna Wilson, Patrick McClammy, and Dunn O'Conner.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Miss you dad, if I had the chance to re-live the concert you took me to, I´d take it. I wish I told you how I felt more often, that I love you, that I care about you, which is why im grateful for the times I did tell you how I felt.

Well Penner I hate to say good bye my friend. I´ll miss you for sure. I miss your raspy voice, silk scarfs, hard work ethics, live for your kids, all of them. I´ll miss your cowboy mentality and sense of humor. I won´t miss all the drama in life but now neither will you. You did take to the good book much of your life and I remember it brought you a sense of console. You knew much of it. I trust it brought you Gods comfort in your final days and moments. I enjoyed my relationship with you. Never sugar coated and never afraid to speak your mind. I pray for your children. You did make an impact on their lives. Adios
