Robert McCrary

Mr. Robert Ellis Whit McCrary, age 87, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away February 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 21, 1937 in Fruithurst, AL to the late Eugene Whit McCrary and Leila Brown McCrary. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Larkin, Sarah McCrary, Gene McCrary, and Buddy McCrary.
Robert served in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Marjorie Hulsey McCrary; daughters and son in law, Terri Gibbs and Kathy and Randal Maxwell; sons and daughter in law, Robert McCrary, Jr., and Lewis and Rhonda McCrary, all of Villa Rica; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 4:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Richard Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel beginning at 3:00PM. Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association. He will be buried at a later date in Fruithurst City Cemetery.
