New Iberia – Funeral service will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, for Robert Wayne McDaniel, 48, who passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

Deacon Durk Viator will officiate.

Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Robert Wayne McDaniel, a vibrant soul and beloved friend to many, was born on January 19, 1977, in Hamilton, Ohio, and worked as a shop hand and driver for Keystone Energy Tools. Robert was a dedicated stepfather to Jaylee and a doting uncle to his nieces and nephews. He embraced his extended family, actively involving himself in their lives and nurturing their spirits with an abundance of love. Though he never had children of his own, he poured his heart into his relationships, becoming a steadfast figure in the lives of those he adored.

A true sports enthusiast, Robert’s passions centered around the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Reds, and Ohio State Buckeyes. His spirited nature and infectious enthusiasm brought warmth and camaraderie to every gathering. It was not unusual to find him radiating joy, sporting his team's colors, and cheering them on with fervor.

Whether it was sharing a meal, grilling up some barbecue, or enjoying a cold beer with friends, Robert was the life of every party. He had an extraordinary ability to light up any room he entered with a welcoming smile and a heartfelt hug. His laughter echoed like music, and his friendship resonated as a comforting melody in the lives he touched.

Robert also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, one of which was indulging in naps—often the perfect way to recharge after a day full of activities and adventure. His zest for life, combined with his gentle nature, made him a beacon of positivity and joy.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Jade Judice McDaniel; mother, Connie McDaniel Federle; step-daughter, Jaylee Perrodin; sister, Tammy Segura; brother, Bryan McDaniel (Kelly); nieces and nephews, Keith Segura (Katie), Cody Segura (Blair), Kaleb Segura (Lauren), Lynzy McDaniel, Jadyn McDaniel, and Brandon McDaniel; aunt, Karen Spears; and great nieces and nephews, Kyson, Tatum, Rome, Letty, Boston, August, Rowan, Cooper, Lillian, and Za’Reece.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Claude and Loretta McDaniel; great-grandparents, Floyd and Emma Eichner; and uncle, Larry McDaniel.

As we say goodbye to Robert, we celebrate a life rich with love and adventure; a true friend who will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
