Robert Thomas "Tommy" McGalliard passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at home on November 24, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Thomasville, Tommy graduated from Thomasville High School in 1975. He began his career with Liberty Homes and later went on to work for Omnitrax Railroad where he remained until his retirement. He was known as a reliable worker and people enjoyed being around. Tommy was a man who never needed to be the loudest in the room-his presence alone brought comfort. He loved the simple joys of life and appreciated the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and found comfort in spending time in nature. His greatest pride was his family. He deeply loved his wife, two daughters, his stepdaughter, his grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews. He also shared a close bond with his dog, Skeeter, who was always by his side. Sports were a big part of his adolescence and continued through adulthood-something that brought him many good memories and friendships.

He is survived by; his wife, Patty D. McGalliard of Thomasville, daughters, Maggie Wilson (Trent) of Moultrie, GA, Kellie Banks (Matt) of Valdosta, GA, Michelle Willis (Joey) of Midland Park, NJ, granddaughters, Aubrey Wilson and Marley Jo Wilson of Moultrie, GA, Mary Charlotte Banks and Harper Banks of Valdosta, GA, and Kelsey Peterman of Midland Park, NJ, siblings, Glenn Davis of Thomasville, and Sheila Davis of Lake Blackshear, GA, niece April Jackson, and Marshall McGalliard the mother to Maggie and Kellie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Davis, and a sister, Sheila Davis.

A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
