Robert E. Mckiver Jr.

Deacon Robert E. Mckiver, Jr., affectionately known as "Bobby" age 80 of Glastonbury, CT sadly passed away on December 13th in his home.
Robert was born July 22, 1943 in Pink Hill, NC and graduated from James Hillhouse High School where he played basketball. Robert became a strong believer in Christ in his children's early years regularly showing Christian films at New Light Holy Church and was also a member of Faith Temple in later years. He was passionate about preaching on the his radio shows, sharing his beliefs. He studied the bible endlessly and loved to refer to himself as "Honest Bob". Robert's employment included Winchester Repeating Arms, the trucking and insurance businesses among other employers.
He leaves to mourn; his son: Derek Hatten, daughters; Terrance, Jewell and Felicia McKiver. His grandchildren; James, Robert, Terrence, Eric and Prentice Mckiver, Mark, Michael and Myles White along with his 5 great grandchildren. Siblings; Emma Koonce (John), Timothy McKiver (Ruby) and Randy McKiver (Alma) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his beloved parents Robert E. McKiver, Sr. and Rebecca (Branch) McKiver. His grandaughter, Damica Young. His Sisters Christine Walker (Benny), Everlena Ferguson (Leroy) and Brother Marshall McKiver.
