Robert Lee Mischnick, 77, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born on March 3, 1948, in Oberlin, Ohio, to the late Carl and June (Doty) Mischnick.

Robert was first united in marriage to Patricia Wilkerson, who preceded him in death. Later, he found love again and married Robin Mullen on July 5, 2008. Their bond was one of companionship, shared adventures, and unwavering support. Robin remains to cherish his memory.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving honorably aboard the USS Bennington (CV-20) during the Vietnam War.

After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Robert began his civilian career as a police officer in Florida. He later moved to Missouri in 1978, where he worked as a skilled welder for Morgan Machine Company before establishing himself as a self-employed welder. Deeply committed to his community, Robert volunteered with the North Callaway Fire Protection District and proudly served as a reserve deputy with the Callaway County Sheriff's Department for 22 years.

Robert was raised in the Everglades and carried with him a love for the outdoors throughout his life. He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing, and hitting the open road with his wife Robin, riding on their matching Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.

Along with his wife Robin, those that remain to Cherish Robert's memory is his son, Robert Daniel Mischnick (Lindsay); daughter, Pamela Lynn Johnson; stepchildren, Clayton Loyd Miller (Merina), James M. Miller, Anna Marie Stone (Tracy); grandchildren, Garrett, Nathaniel, Brevyn, Bryson, Bowen, along with step grandchildren, Larissa, Addison, Indica, Sterling, and Octavia.

Robert was preceded in death by his son in law, Howard Johnson.

Memorial services will be held at Maupin Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kevin Wilkerson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Private Military Honors will be held at the family home following the service.
