Robert Misenheimer, aged 77, passed away on Thursday, 2/13/25, from complications resulting from a stroke last September. He is survived by son, James Misenheimer (GA), daughters Kerri Misenheimer (Lake Arrowhead), Tonya Melendez, (Apple Valley) and Tedra Manross (Crestline) and former wives Sherry McFall and Tammy Misenheimer, as well as grandchildren Carmen, Jesse, Alex, Micah, Logan, Synthia, Kiara, Troy and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Misenheimer, his Mother, Venita Hewitt, and brothers, Tom and Jerry Misenheimer.
Bob was born in Wewoka, OK, moving to California at the age of 3 with his family. He grew up in both Fontana and Upland attending both Upland HS and Brown Military Academy where he graduated in 1966. From a young age, he worked in his stepdad Van Hewitt's Triumph/Honda motorcycle shop in Pomona, excelling in auto/cycling repair. He then served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era serving on the USS Coral Sea. Bob got a jump start on his education taking courses while in the Navy in jet aircraft, gen. aeronautics, and refrigeration. After the service, he also attended Chaffey College. He left the military attaining the rank of E-4 & MM3. He married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Davis, during his tour of duty and they started their family in Pomona, CA. Bob completed study as a journeyman in the HVAC trade and was a technician in the field for his entire 42-year career. After working for Bud Worness Heating & Air, he was self-employed at different times and worked at Crown Heating & Air, Refrigeration Equipment Co. and Chino Valley Medical Center for 14 years before joining the multi-state firm of Source Refrigeration for 10 years then retiring from there at age 65.
Bob was a motorcycle enthusiast, owning a prized Moto Morini until a couple of years ago. He was also an avid Nascar fan throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed children, corny dad jokes, going to the movies, yard work, ice cream, and breakfast at Coco's. He was very unassuming and friendly to all he met.
Funeral Services will be held at Snyder Care Center, 9320 Santa Anita, #107, in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, 2/28/25, with viewing 3 p.m. and service at 4 p.m. Private burial services will take place for the family on 3/17/25 at Riverside National Cemetery where he will receive full military honors.
