Robert M. Moitoza, age 80, of Taunton passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Linda M. Moitoza. He passed peacefully, after a period of declining health, surrounded by family at Morton Hospital.
Bob was born in Taunton, on September 12, 1944, to the late Manuel and Mary Moitoza. He graduated from Taunton High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He then started his career as a mechanical draftsman at Texas Instruments in Attleboro, retiring after over 35 years there. Bob was happiest when he had a fishing pole or a guitar in his hands. He spent many summers with his family and friends down the Cape camping on Race Point Beach. He loved to share his enthusiasm for music, whether it was by cranking up his stereo, sending endless youtube videos of his favorites, or trying to teach one of us how to play the guitar or sing. And of course, he loved all New England sports. He helped create many memories for his family to cherish.
Robert and Linda were married for 55 years. He was the loving father to Todd, Mark and wife Jessica, Amy and fiance Robby. He was the coolest Papa to Christopher, Caroline, Jack, Kyle, Maya, Kali, and Leah. Bob was the best big brother to Rosemary, Ricky (predeceased), Ronald, Raymond, and Randy, and was Uncle Bobby to many loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton MA, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
