Robert “Bob” S. Moore, 74, of Colfax, went home to his Lord and Savior Monday, May 5, 2025, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on November 30, 1950, in Indianapolis to Cecil and Eleanor (Ryan) Moore. He married Ronna Bruning on February 22, 1974, and she survives.
Bob graduated from North Central High School and then went on to Ball State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He worked as an accountant for National Homes Corporation until 1990 and then for Geo-Specialty Chemicals until his retirement in 2019. He was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church. Bob was a lover of oldies, classic rock, and Christian music, an admirer of classic cars and trains, and enjoyed camping, bike riding, and reading historical books. He was a happy soul that enjoyed life and will be remembered for his laugh that filled the room.
Along with his wife of 51 years, Bob is survived by his children, Rachel Moore and Jonathan (Marissa) Moore; a sister, Sue (Mark) Smith; grandchildren, Everett, Isaac, and Kathryn Moore; nieces, Roberta Davis, Karen (Steve) Hicks and nephews, Bryan (Alison) Smith and Robert (Cindy) Suter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Joellen.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 4-7pm and Wednesday, May 14 from 10am until the time of the service at 12pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Brad Fullerton will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
