Robert "Pug" Glen Morris

April 16, 1951 - February 13, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Glen Morris, 71, affectionately known by many as "Pug," who left us peacefully while in his home on February 13, 2024, with the love of his life, Barbara Walker, by his side. Pug was born on April 16, 1951, in Farmington, NM, to Kathryn May Crandell and Robert Chase Morris.

Pug was the eldest of four brothers: Gary, Tracy, and Kevin. They grew up together creating memories and forging bonds that have lasted a lifetime. He was a proud graduate of Aztec High School, where he played varsity football and was a member of the wrestling team. Pug attended Brigham Young University where he played football, then he transferred to New Mexico State University to study engineering.

Pug's passion was the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting. He treasured his vegetable garden and shared the harvest with his family and friends. He also spent countless hours reading his adorned mystery thriller novels, rooting for his favorite sports teams on the television, and especially enjoyed cooking for those he loved.

Professionally, Pug dedicated many years to the oil field, where his hard work, integrity, and commitment made a lasting impact. The camaraderie and friendships he formed truly meant the world to him.

Pug's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted father to three daughters, Shannon, Staci, Summer, and Barbara's sons Dustin and Heath. He was also a grandfather to twelve grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. His lessons, laughter, and traditions will live on through them.

Pug is lovingly remembered and survived by his partner, Barb, who shared in his life's journey with devotion and love. He leaves behind a cherished legacy through his children and their families: Shannon and Tim Kornacki, along with their children, Chase and Landen; Staci and Ryan Savage, and their children, Cole, Baylee, Gabrielle, Luke, and Logan; Summer and Bob Linn, and their children, Zoe and Avery. Equally dear to his heart were Barb's sons, Dustin Lee, and his daughter Bentley; Heath and Lacey Lee, and their children Ari and Rush. Pug embraced them all as his own in every sense.

Pug's life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and family. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and an unbreakable spirit that touched the lives of many, including countless friends, family, and loved ones. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him. A celebration of Pug's life will be held on March 2nd at 1 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 505 N Oliver Dr, Aztec, NM 87410, where friends and family are invited to share stories, laughter, and tears as we remember a man who was truly larger than life.

Barb and the Morris Family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their thoughtful prayers and well-wishes. They are especially grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at San Juan Davita.
