Funeral services for Bob Morris, 86-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo will be held Saturday, November 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Summit Wesleyan Church with Pastor Nathan Nash officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Bob Morris Memorial, a fund set up to help defray final expenses. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com.
Robert Glenn Morris was born on November 20, 1937, in Sundance, Wyoming to Glenn and Edna Morris. Bob grew up and went to school in Hulett, Sundance and Buffalo and graduated from Hulett High School with the class of 1957. After high school he worked various ranches in Eastern Wyoming. He was married on August 10, 1965, in Buffalo to Lucinda James and they made their home in Buffalo where they worked on the Limmer Ranch North of Buffalo. They moved to Sheridan where they worked for the NX Bar Ranch until they moved to Prairie Dog Ranch where they worked until 1967. In 1969 they moved to Casper where Bob and Cindy worked construction. In 1975 they moved to Buffalo where Bob was a ranch hand and truck driver. Bob and Cindy went to work for the Gordon Ranch in Mayoworth in the Spring of 1995. Cindy was in a fatal auto accident in September of 1995 and Bob continued working and living in Johnson County. Bob was married on March 17, 2000, in Buffalo to Myrtle Nelson and they made their home in Buffalo where Bob worked for Eitel Trucking in Kaycee. In 2018 Bob and Myrtle opened a new business called Poor Boy Leather where Bob made all kinds of leather designed products. He had continued to live and work in Buffalo until his death.
Bob had a passion for rodeo and worked the Wyoming State High School Rodeo for 8 years. He and Cindy worked the Johnson and Sheridan County High School Rodeos for 16 years and worked the pens at the Johnson County Rodeo for over 14 years.
He is survived by his wife Myrtle Morris of Buffalo; four sons, Bill Morris and his wife Stacy of Buffalo, Paul Morris and his wife Nicole of Casper and Daniel Morris and his wife Jessie of Buffalo, and Shawn Schoolcraft and his wife Toni also of Buffalo; three daughters, Schalena Green and her husband David of Buffalo, Dawn Whitlow and her husband David of Casper and Karla Shambaugh and her husband Trace also of Buffalo, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Three brothers, Bill, David and Jack Morris, two sisters Ellen and Ethel, one son Karl Morris, one granddaughter Christina and one grandson Brandon.
