Chrystal "Chrystie" Rains, age 54, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, daughter and friend, passed away on August 10, 2025, due to a sudden asthma attack in
Buffalo, Wyoming. Born on October 2, 1970, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Chrystie was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
Chrystie was a graduate of L.D. Bell High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed a nurturing spirit that would characterize her entire life. She chose a path that would allow her to dedicate herself to her family as a stay-at-home wife, a role she cherished deeply. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into creating a loving and supportive home for them.
Married to her soulmate, Bobby Rains, Chrystie was a devoted partner, sharing in the simple pleasures of life and the unwavering support through its challenges. She was a wonderful mother to her children, Cory Rains and Amber Robles, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion, and love. Chrystie's sisterly bond with Barbara Cozby, Linda Rains, and brother Butch Bagley was filled with laughter and shared memories that will be treasured forever.
Her mother, Marie Burns, will miss Chrystie's gentle guidance and loving presence. Her grandchildren, Blake and Hopper Robles, were the light of her life, and she embraced every moment spent with them. Her niece, Tonya Christensen, will forever hold dear the lessons and love her aunt imparted. They were more like sisters growing up together.
Chrystie's interests were a reflection of her inquisitive and caring nature. She had a passion for crime documentaries, which she watched with an analytical eye and a yearning to understand the human condition. Yet, her greatest pleasure came from the time spent with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart.
Chrystie's love and the joy she brought to others are etched into the lives of those she touched, becoming an indelible part of their stories.
Chrystie's legacy is one of love and family. Her memory will be held close to the hearts of her loved ones, and her spirit will continue to inspire and guide them. Though her physical presence is missed, the essence of who she was-a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend-will forever be celebrated and remembered.
Chrystie Rains lived a life full of love and purpose, and her departure from this world leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a family that adored her. As we bid farewell to Chrystie, let us hold close the love she shared and the moments that made her life extraordinary. She will be deeply missed, but her radiant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
She's proceeded in death by her father Virgil Morris, father in law Bobby Rains, two sister-in laws Cody Hinson, and Kelly Breshers and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a celebration of life planned at a later date.
