Robert Myers

Funeral services for Robert Earl Myers, 86, of Ferriday, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11AM with Bro. Bo Swilley officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10AM until service time at 11AM.

Robert was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1939 in Wisner, LA and passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 in Baton Rouge, LA. Robert was a man of honor, character, and deep devotion. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying himself with dignity and pride throughout his life. A second-generation carpenter, he worked alongside his brothers, building not only structures but a legacy of excellence. He was a mentor to his son, who followed in his footsteps, learning the craft and the values that came with it. Robert and his family worked on major projects across the country. Some local jobs they completed from the ground up was the Comfort Suites, the Grand Hotel, and the Camelot Nursing Home, each standing as a testament to their skill and dedication.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing, finding joy in the peaceful beauty of nature. Known for his sense of humor, he was a jokester who could bring smiles to anyone around him. A Christian man, he raised his family in church, instilling a strong love for Christ. Above all, Robert loved his family and friends deeply, cherishing every moment as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

He is reunited with his wife, Judy Thompson Myers; parents, Sim Myers and Lillie Cain Myers; grandson, Joshua Guillory; brothers, DH Myers, Huey Myers, and Bill Myers; and sisters, Luicille Myers Smith, Althea Mae Wright, Dorothy Herbert, and Helen Ezell.

Those left to cherish Robert's memories are his son, Greg Myers & his wife Holly of Natchez, MS; daughter, Robbin Myers of Vidalia, LA; grandchildren, Brittney Smith & her husband Manche of Meadville, MS, Sloan Pintard of Natchez, MS, Zack Pintard of Natchez, MS, and Olivia Jade Myers of Natchez, MS; great-grandchildren, Seth Smith & his wife Shaina, Stormie Smith, Bryson Smith, and Leighton Holloway; great-great-granddaughter, Oaklie Mae Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Those honoring Robert as pallbearers are Devin Blackmon, Brandon Thompson, Landon Thompson, Seth Smith, Steven Guillory, and ________.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wooten.
