Betty Carolyn Lushute was born on Wednesday, June 21, 1944 in Clayton, LA and passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 her home surrounded by loved ones. Betty devoted 30 years to the Concordia Parish Health Unit as a dedicated office manager, serving her community with grace and reliability. A loving wife and mother, she nurtured her family with warmth, strength, and kindness. Her steady presence and generous heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is reunited with her husband, Julian Lushute; parents, Joseph C. Breland and Ivalee Higginbotham Breland; sisters, Evelyn Crawford and Kathy Breland; and brothers, Wendell Breland, Doyle Breland, and Marshall Breland
Those left to cherish Betty's memories are her son, Jason Lushute & his wife Jodi of Clayton, LA; brother, Noel Breland of Clayton, LA; and sisters-in-law, Melody Breland of Vanleen, TN, Martha Lushute of Vidalia, LA, and Sharon Lushute of Vidalia, LA
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital or Concordia Paws in Ferriday, LA.
