Robert W. Nelson, Jr., 78, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at his home. Born November 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert W. Nelson Sr. and Lorraine Walker Nelson. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 48 years, Mr. Nelson was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church, Belle Vernon. Mr. Nelson retired from Yough School District, where he worked as a teacher, and enjoyed antiquing, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Pamela R. Horvath Nelson to whom he was married to for 55 years, son & daughter in law Aaron B. & Meredith Nelson of West Newton, daughter & son in law Amber A. Nelson & husband Jesse Gagich of Mt. Lebanon, three grandchildren Lila Nelson, Brett Nelson, Owen Gagich, brother & sister in law Christopher & Cindy Nelson of Belle Vernon, sister & brother in law Patty & Thomas Canigiani of Perryopolis, uncle Joseph Walker, aunt Dolores Harhai, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately for the family. Interment will take place in Rehoboth Cemetery at a later date. Robert’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.
