Robert Allen “Bobby” Newcomb, 84, of Fort Mitchell, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born February 16, 1941 and was the son of the late Albert Jackson Newcomb, Jr. and the late Ruby Mae Berkley Newcomb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Newcomb Holloway and two brothers, Johnny Newcomb and Clifton Newcomb.
Bobby is survived by his son, Timothy Allen Newcomb (Patty); grandchildren, Nicole Holloway, Megan Holloway and Brandon Newcomb; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Chelsea. He is also survived by his brother, Herman Newcomb (Arlene); sister, Brenda Newcomb Lloyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobby was a member of Salem Christian Church in Fort Mitchell. He served as a Deputy on the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and the Chase City Police Department. He was also a long-time Truck Driver and drove for McGuire, Huss Trucking and Brown and Toombs Logging.
To honor Bobby’s wishes, a Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Christian Church Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside “Papa Dick.” Pastor Herman Newcomb will officiate.
