Robert J. O'Donnell, affectionately known as "O'D," passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, in Bradenton, FL.

Born to John O'Donnell and Mary (Mullane) O'Donnell on July 7th, 1948. Robert grew up in Marlborough, MA, where he met his many lifelong friends. Robert graduated from Marlborough High, Framingham State University and Suffolk Law School. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a proud submarine sailor aboard both the USS Razorback and the USS Medregal, performing covert operations during the Vietnam War. He spent his later years practicing family law on Cape Cod.

Robert was a loving father to his three children Sandra, Kevin, and Andrea, and a proud grandfather to his two granddaughters, Morgan and Eliza. His sharp wit, strong presence, and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was the life of the party, with a knack for making everyone laugh. Whether swapping stories with his lifelong friends, his practical jokes, or sharing a joke with a stranger, he brought joy, humor, and warmth wherever he went. His laughter was contagious, and his presence turned even the simplest gathering into a celebration. Robert will be remembered not only for his service and professional accomplishments, but for the unwavering love he gave to his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and the values he instilled in his children.

He is survived by his children; Sandra O'Donnell Wagner of Bradenton Florida, his granddaughters Morgan Wagner and Eliza Wagner; his son Kevin O'Donnell of Louisville, KY; his Daughter Andrea O'Donnell Phillips, of Atlanta, GA; his sister Theresa Trombetta and her husband Joseph of Northborough, MA; several nieces and a nephew. He was also the brother of the late John O'Donnell.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, August 16th from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA . Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.
