Robert Timothy Okie

It is with outstanding sorrow we announce the abrupt loss of Robert Okie, aged 36. He is survived by his
stepson Caysen, age 12, his two daughters Makenna, age 6, and Emma, age 4. Along with his parents,
Helen Okie and George Okie, and siblings Carissa Okie-Trolli, Colin Okie and Andrew Okie. Rob was born
in Teaneck, NJ at Holy Name Hospital.
Robert grew up in Tobyhanna, PA. He attended a vo-tech in the later years of his education and pursued
a career in commercial HVAC as a service technician. Like most things Rob put his mind to he excelled in
his career.
He was married in 2018 and had his first daughter shortly after. He again had a daughter in 2020. Above
everything else in his life, he loved his daughters the most. Robert loved his life as a father and would do
anything for any of his children.
It is often said the highest expression of love is food, and that does not ring any truer than it did in his
house. Rob loved to expand his culinary creativity from barbeque to baking.
Robert will surely be missed by the entirety of his friends and family.
There will be a memorial service held in honor and celebration of his life at Bensing-Thomas Funeral
Home, located at 401 N Fifth St, Stroudsburg, PA. Visiting hours will be Monday, March 24th at 12:00-2:00 pm.
