Robert Ottens

With profound sadness and immense love, we share the passing of Robert John Ottens, lovingly known as Bobby, on July 28, 2025, at the age of 48.
Born on June 22, 1977, Bobby was the first grandchild of the late Frank and Olive Kaiser and Frank and Jacoba Ottens - a role he embraced with pride and affection from the very beginning. His kind and joyful spirit made him a light in the lives of all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Janice Ottens, his brother Bryan Ottens, sister-in-law Olivia, and his four adoring nieces - Natalia, Emily, Madison, and Alexandra - who knew him lovingly as "Bob Bob." He is also survived by Olinda Ottens, his partner of 14 years, and his fiancée Kristie Marciniak, both of whom shared deep love and meaningful chapters of life with him.
Bobby's life was deeply rooted in family, friendship, and connection. He had a heart that welcomed everyone, and a presence that instantly made people feel at ease. His signature smile and bright blue eyes could light up a room, and his laughter had a way of filling it.
A natural host and gifted storyteller, Bobby found joy in bringing people together. Whether at his lake house sharing stories over home-cooked meals, casting a fishing line at sunset, playing music, or relaxing with his pets, Bobby lived in the moment and made those around him feel special.
He was a man of simple pleasures and meaningful relationships. His positivity was contagious, his loyalty unmatched, and his capacity to love without limits was one of his greatest gifts. To know him was to feel cared for, heard, and seen.
Bobby's passing leaves a space that cannot be filled - but his spirit will live on in the countless memories he created, and in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to be part of his world.
May we carry forward his legacy by loving more openly, laughing more freely, and never missing a chance to bring people together.
Rest easy, Bob Bob. You will always be with us.
