Steven Richard Aneiro

Steven Richard Aneiro, 46, of Bloomfield, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2026.

Born on June 24, 1979, in Denville, New Jersey, Steven was the beloved son of Karen M. Aneiro and Steven T. Hodge. He spent his life rooted in New Jersey, where he built lasting relationships and touched the lives of many.

Steven was a dedicated personal trainer and yoga instructor with a deep passion for health, fitness, and helping others. His work reflected his core values: he was motivating, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the well-being of those around him. Steven had a rare presence; he lit up any room he entered and was well-loved for his warmth, humor, infectious energy and empathy. He leaves behind many cherished friends.

He is survived by his mother, Karen M. Aneiro and her husband Dr. Robert C. Hale; his father, Steven T. Hodge and his wife Terry; his brothers, Richard Gresens, Thomas Hodge, and Bradley Hodge and his wife Alyssa; his sister, Shannon Warfield and her husband Brian, along with their daughters Elizabeth and Lillian; and his extended family, including his uncle Steve Aneiro, and aunts Susan Aneiro (and Sue's children, his cousins, Matt Diaco and wife Kayla and their daughter Kendall; Dr. Marissa Diaco; Nicholas Diaco and Jake Diaco) and Maria Aneiro (and Maria's child his cousin Esther Aneiro-Tanner). He is also lovingly remembered by his maternal grandparents, Marie and Richard Aneiro, and his cherished cat, Bianca.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Steven's name to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, 61 Bukowski Pl, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.
