Robert Trent Ourso

"The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want."

Robert Trent Ourso, Bob, passed away on Dec. 10, 2024 in Anchorage, Alaska where he and his wife Rebecca (Becky) Ourso have resided for 25 years with their two children Sarah Jack Ourso and Nicole Virginia Ourso. Bob attended Our Lady of Mercy, Catholic High School, University of Texas in Austin and Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas for his graduate degree in Stream Ecology.

Bob, Becky and their children then moved to Anchorage, Alaska where Bob was employed by the U.S.G.S. His favorite part of his job was the field work which enabled him to go into the "wild areas" where he could really see the glory of God's creation.

Bob was a musician and played "Blues" at Tabby's Blues Box" in Baton Rouge. He also played in Alaska at his church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He was a dedicated adorer of Jesus Christ at the Adoration Chapel from 12am to 1am and often longer if needed. Bob was a Knight of Columbus at his church.

Bob is survived by his parents, James Robert and Martha Ourso; brother Chad Ourso and wife Shawn; sister Allison and husband Charles Brigham as well as many close relations. Bob will be deeply missed by family and friends who cherished his love, kindness, and friendship. God has promised and we know that we will see Bob again in Heaven for eternity.

A memorial celebration of Bob's life will be held February 3, 2025 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 445 Marquette Ave, 70806. There will be visitation from 9am to 10am with the Memorial Mass held at 10 am.
