MOULTRIE, GA – Robert Neil “Bobby” Palmer, 78, of Moultrie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mark Cunningham and Rev. Hugh Ward will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Private interment will be at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born on January 18, 1947, in Albany, GA, he was a son of the late Zuber Spear “Toby” Palmer and Marcelle Dekle Palmer. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from DeMott Tractor Company. A founding member of Heritage Church, he faithfully attended throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Palmer.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Matthews Palmer; daughter, Neali Inmon (husband, Jason); son, LCDR Toby Palmer, USN (wife, Sara); foster son, Daniel Hopper; grandchildren, Matthew A. Long (Kyra), Kelly Joy Stovall (husband, Ty), Lainey Johnston (husband, Webb), Rob Palmer, Jackson Palmer and Lucas Palmer; great-grandchildren, Silas Stovall and Phillip Stovall; brother, Paul Palmer (wife, Sue); sister, Kathy Palmer; sister-in-law, Gail Palmer; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
