Robert O'Neal Palmer, Jr. was born and raised in Norfolk, VA to the late Robert O'Neal Palmer, Sr. and Ethel Palmer. Robert attended Norfolk Public Schools. He was known by various nicknames (Pappa, Pappa Smurf, Lil Robert, etc).
Robert was a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky person and enjoyed hanging out with friends and family members, laughing and joking around. He played community league football for the Tidewater Park Super Chiefs, where he excelled as a running back. He also enjoyed cooking, watching his favorite professional sports teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia 76ers. His favorite food was chicken, and his favorite beverage was Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull beer.
He is survived by his son, Jarrell Palmer; step-son, Brandon Palmer; and the mother to his sons, ex-wife, Miranda Moore. He was a father figure to Corey Fells. He is also survived by his siblings, Germaine Clary of Norfolk, VA, Rodney Palmer (Diveda) of Chesterfield, VA, and Robin Little (Jerome) of Pensacola, FL. He leaves behind many nieces, Sharina Galinda, Starr Clary, Whitney Little, Brittany Little, Maya Palmer, and Jade Palmer; two great nieces; two great nephews; uncles, aunts, other relatives; and friends. He also leaves behind his loving and devoted caregiver, Tamika Reddick.
