Robert Palmisano, of Mrytle Beach, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones after nearly three years of courageously battling cancer on Thursday November 6, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born on November 8, 1959, in Belleville, NJ.
A cancer survivor once before, Rob faced his second battle with remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering optimism. Though he ultimately lost this battle, he never lost his spirit. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Rob built a long and successful career as a National Sales Director in the office products industry, where his leadership, integrity, and genuine care for others earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
After retiring, Rob found joy on the golf course, where he could spend hours perfecting his swing, sharing laughs with friends, and savoring the quiet moments between shots. He was truly blessed to have a circle of friends that he considered family-people who stood by him through every triumph and challenge, filling his life with laughter, loyalty, and love.
Known for being "stubborn as heck" but with a heart of pure gold, Rob was the kind of man who wouldn't hurt a fly. His low-key nature often disguised a quick wit and an unexpected sense of humor that could light up any room.
He will be deeply missed, but forever remembered for his kindness, humor, and the quiet strength that defined his life.
Left to cherish Rob's memory is his loving wife, Dimitra, mother, Regina Freader, father, Angelo and stepmother, Lois, his in-laws, Stavros and Eleni, his brothers, Ken and Tom, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws; John, Maria, Steven Jr. and his wife Alejandra, Dina, Kim, nephews and nieces; Billy and his wife Ahlam, TJ, Eleni Jr.and her husband Christopher, Christina, Roula, Giana, Julia, Gianna; his great-nieces, Le'Lani, Athena, Sophia, Penelope, and let's not forget his beloved pup, Shelby.
