After a long battle with cancer, Mary Christine Frank passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She was born on November 18, 1944 in Tryon, North Carolina to Sam and Orabell Norton. She grew up in Saluda, North Carolina.
She was married to Martin L. Frank (deceased) for 31 years. They loved to travel and spent time exploring the world.
She is survived by her sister, Sadie N. McCurry of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and her brother, Calvin Norton (wife Jean) of Huntersville, North Carolina. Nieces, Connie Doyle Long (John), Anita Grainger (Marty) and Lisa Norton and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her great nephew Vince Grainger and his wife Amber for their assistance in caring for her the last few weeks.
She is survived by Martin's children, Peter, (wife Nancy), Michael, Brian, and Timothy.
She was known as Chris by her friends and family. She was fun, kind, and sassy; to know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm at McMillan-Small Funeral Home & Crematory in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A reception will immediately follow at Covenant Towers located at 5001 Little River Road, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
