Hilma Ann Palmisano (nee Whalen), 99, of Woodridge, at rest August 24, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Jerome; loving mother of Tim (Myrna), Mike (Cindy) and Tom (Joanne) Palmisano, Nancy (Bill) Piotrowski and Lynn (Dave) Sapyta; devoted grandmother of Michael, Joe, Hilma, Martha, Tom, Tim, Andy, Billy, Lisa, Sandy, Margaret, Katie and David; dearest great grandmother of Benny, Pearl, Michael, Frank, Alonzo, Eleanor, Jimmy, Alyssa, Tommy, Samantha, Kaylie, Lincoln, Michael, Jerry, Eddie, Lily and Anthony; dear sister of Frank (Lucy) Whalen, Sue (Mickey) Koziol and the late Betty (Dan) and Patricia (John); fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Hilma valued family and friends above all things. She lived life to the fullest. She had the gift to connect with people from all walks of life. She led the way to women's acceptance in the workforce. She was a hard worker and smart and conscientious. She will be missed. Visitation Thursday August 28, 2025 from 4-8 P.M. at Cappetta's West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services 4920 Main St., Downers Grove. Funeral Services Friday August 29 at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
