ALEXANDRIA, IN – Robert L. "Bob" Pardue, 91, entered peace and rest from Northview Health and Living in Anderson on Monday, September 29, 2025, following an extended illness.

He was born on October 14, 1933, in Anderson to Orlando and Mary (Nunemaker) Pardue and has lived in Alexandria since 1982. Bob enlisted in the United States Navy in 1952 and served a collective 22 years and 5 months, with 7 years spent in service overseas. He was a life member of the former Alexandria VFW and a former member of the Alexandria Eagles #1771. Bob was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. On June 3, 1984, Bob married Linda Williams Kendall. Linda passed away on July13, 2025, after 41 wonderful years together.

Survivors:

2 Son-Bobby (Angela) Pardue of Muncie, Kenneth Pardue in Kansas

2 Daughters-Robin Brown and Debbie (Jerry) Carrington all of Anderson

Step-Son-Donnie Kendall of Alexandria

2 Step-daughters-Susan (Randy) Johnson and Lisa (Jim) Messer all of Alexandria

80 Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews

In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Sons -infant son Paul Pardue and Richard Pardue, Step-son-David Kendall, Brother-William Pardue, Sister-Maxine Schnitz

The Pardue family will receive friends and family at a gathering time and visitation on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. At 6 pm the United States Navy and the Elwood VFW Honors Team will render military honors to close the visitation hours. Cremation will follow.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Homer's Helpers, PO Box 211, Alexandria, IN 46001-0211.
