Mr. Robert C. Parsons

Robert C. Parsons, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on October 23, 2021, surrounded by family. Robert's wife of 50 years, his beloved "Ruthie Babe", passed away in June. True soulmates who shared a love like no other. They were blessed with a marriage filled with friendship and laughter. The family finds great comfort in knowing they are together once again. Robert was a devoted father to Richard Parsons, Susan Teehan and husband Matthew, Katie Parsons, Karen Torri and husband Edward and the late Jane Parsons, and cherished grandfather to Matthew, Jake, Edward and William. Son of the late Hugh and Grace Parsons and brother to David Parsons, Diane Parsons-Salem and the late Fred Parsons. Robert was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and a successful businessman. He was a talented mechanic and well respected Shell Oil dealer for over 30 years. His most important accomplishments in life were his family and countless friendships. He was a kind, generous and caring man with a sense of humor second to none. He will most notably be remembered for his lifelong passion for all things cars. Robert was beloved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Thursday October 28, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and elevator available. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
