He was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 201, Exalted Ruler of the Sunbury Elks Club and a member of the VFW, Virginia Beach Moose and the Americus Hose Company-where he could often be found gathering with his buddies at 3 p.m. to "solve the world's problems."

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Della J. Parsons; his daughters, Lisa Lytle and Jennifer Parsons; his grandchildren, Sheena and Ricardo Espinal, Nathan Savidge and Zachary Paca, Marissa and Ben Swinehart, Joshua Parsons and Lee Gonzalez; his great-grandson, Ricardo Robert Espinal; sisters, Dianne Beaudoin, Susan and William Kreischer and his beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Parsons; his brother, William Parsons, his sister-in-law, Sandra Parsons; and his mother-in-law, Eleanor Treon.

He will be deeply missed by all loved him.

A viewing will be held at Blank Funeral Home, 398 State St. Sunbury, Friday, April 3, 2026 from 11am to 1pm, followed by a service at 1pm and the burial immediately after with a military send off at Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
