Robert Peat Obituary
Robert was born in Perryton, Texas, but he was raised in Satanta, Kansas, where he attended school and completed his high school education. Following high school, he earned his bachelor's degree from Garden City Community College. After completing his college education, he began his career at Oswalt Industries, where he worked for more than 40 years before retiring. He was an active member of New Life Community Church. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and engaging in home improvement projects.
He is survived by his children- Cindy Chambers of La Veta, Co and Tracy Peat of Garden City, Ks; brother- Fred N. Peat of Pennsylvania; granddaughter- Kelsey Rae Vesper. He is preceded in death by his wife- Sarah Peat; parents- Robert & Cornelia Sharpe; and adopted father- Fred Peat.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Family suggests memorials be given to Heartland Cancer center in memory of Robert & Sarah Peat. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com
