Robert J Pietras Sr

Robert J. Pietras Sr., 74, of Toms River died Saturday July 6, 2024. Born in Passaic to Joseph & Ella (Payer), he lived in Clifton for nearly 48 years before moving to Toms River three years ago.
Bob worked in manufacturing before he changed careers and became an over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of Kingdom Seekers Church in Toms River and a past member of Allwood Community Church in Clifton, where he served as deacon on the consistory.
Bob loved spending time at the Jersey shore with his family. His dream to move to the shore came true in January 2021 when he and Kathy purchased a home in Holiday City Carefree, Toms River. There, he enjoyed his time tinkering in his garage working and spending time with friends. A talented handyman and devoted member of the community, Bob was a member of the neighborhood group, Free Care, where he enjoyed helping his fellow neighbors who needed assistance.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy (Yankowitz) of Toms River, his son Rob and daughter-in-law Daria of Cedar Grove, two grandchildren - Murphy and Nora - and granddog, Jack.
Visiting hours are 2 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, July 9th at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012 followed by a funeral service at 6pm. Cremation will take place privately.
