Robert N. Pock, graduate of Seminole High School in 1964, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, due to heart complications, at the age of 78.
Bob, the son of W.H. “Bill” and Myra Nell (Griffith) Pock, was born August 13, 1946, in Vernon, Utah. He proudly served in the US Air Force, during the Vietnam War, stationed in Thailand. When Bob left the air force he entered the civilian work force, first selling Volkswagens, but then finding his life’s passion working in the oil field. Working in mud for Dresser Well Service in Albuquerque, piqued his interest. Years later, after moving back to Oklahoma, Bob started Pock Well Service, first working in mud and ultimately working every aspect of well service in the oil and gas industry. While attending a Seminole High School reunion, Bob met Jackie Landrith, shortly after, Bob and Jackie married. Jackie was a great help to Bob in his work especially after he sold his well service business and became a consultant to many oil servicing companies in Oklahoma and surrounding states. Bob and Jackie moved from OKC to Shawnee to be close to their daughter and grandson.
After 40 years of marriage Jackie passed away in 2022. Bob remained in Shawnee until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Myra; a brother, Bill; and his wife, Jackie.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Brook Thomas, of Shawnee; grandson, Dylan Thomas, of Shawnee; sister, Paige Pock Phillips of Tulsa, brother-in-law, Dennis Phillips of Tulsa; niece, Ashley Phillips, of Tulsa; and nephew Darren Phillips, of Tulsa.
