Robert (Bo) Lane Porter, age 90, of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at The Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. Bo was born in Cambridge on October 10, 1934 to the late Harry and Lorena (Lane) Porter. Bo Married Shirley Mowrer on May 3, 1959, and she preceded him in death on July 5, 2021. He is also preceded in death by his sister Mary Alice (Porter) Upton on August 20, 2019. Bo worked in the grocery business for 24 years, was the manager of PennyFare for 10 years, and was co-owner of Porter's Equipment from 1974 to 1984. Bob, Jesse and Dean and I were the golf foursome of Guersey county throughout the 1990 decade. Bob taught me, (tried to teach me) how to play the game. He was loved by everyone he came into contact with. A really great man with a huge heart. He truly, never met a person he did not get along with. He will be sadly missed by me and his family. A great man.
