Robert R. Pritchard, born August 4, 1939, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by devotion, intellect, and enduring love.
He married the love of his life, Jacqueline H. Pritchard, in 1961. Raised together on the same street in Newburgh, New York, they built a lifelong partnership rooted in family and shared purpose until Jackie’s passing in 2015.

He dedicated over thirty years to teaching high school English in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, inspiring generations of students with his love of literature and thoughtful guidance.
After retiring, Robert lived in Venice, Florida, and most recently in Placitas, New Mexico.
He is survived by his three children: Robert Pritchard Jr. (Sharon) of Fairport, NY; Daniel Pritchard of Highland Falls, NY; and Anne Lewis (Matthew) of Placitas, NM; along with his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Robert enjoyed time at the shooting range, playing tennis and reading.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
