Robert 'Bob' David Prottas passed away at home with his family after a hard fight with cancer on December 24th 2021. Bob is survived by his two sons Alex and Chris; his mother Janet, and his sister Susan. He was predeceased by his father Stuart and his grandparents Nathan and Lillian Levy.

Bob got his undergrad in Chemistry at Harvey Mudd College in California and went on to achieve his Masters and Doctorate in Polymer Sciences at UConn. He then began his 25+ year chemistry career with DuPont. After retirement he wrote captions for YouTube videos and began his own math and science tutoring business. Bob loved puzzles, TEDTalks, stained glass, skiing, and being involved in various charitable organizations. He will be sorely missed.
