Robert "Bobby" Stanley Putt, 77, of Lodi, passed away on July 24, 2025. Bob was born to Stanley and Gloria (nee Klipper) Putt. He was raised in Kearny and graduated from St. Cecilia's High School in 1967. Bob entered the Army in 1969 and served as a combat medic and soccer player stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in December 1973. Following discharge Bob studied and became a respiratory therapist at Christ's Hospital, Jersey City and went on to open a "home services" business. In the late 70's Bob's career took a turn and he and a partner opened P.M. Productions a DJ and Lighting business for the entertainment field, this led to his becoming a many-time over "restaurateur". He was part-owner of The Studio Steakhouse and Saloon in Jersey City, then Café 51 in Bayonne. These were followed by becoming the manager of Rose's in The Sheraton on Rt. 3, East Rutherford followed by Lon's on RT 17 in East Rutherford. The highlight of this career was the creating, opening and managing of LT's Restaurant and Sports Bar in East Rutherford being partners with Lawrence Taylor NY Giants 1991 Superbowl winner. After "working in restaurants" Bob became a restaurant critic for the Astoria Times on Long Island. He loved going to and testing foods from the various restaurants in Astoria, Queens. In 2003, Bob's Dream career and true vocation came with becoming the franchise owner in New Jersey of ABA..... American Business Associates. His business sense and demeanor produced two thriving Networking Development groups for small businesses plus an additional group focused on the restaurant industry. The three groups are still in full swing, with grateful thanks to Andrew Donofrio. Bob proudly worked for Santangelo Funeral Home, now DiChiara Funeral Home short of 40 years. He held dear to his heart Albert Di Chiara and Billy Dowson who always kept him in their lives and "parties". Bob is survived by his loving wife and traveling partner of 45 years, Dolores (nee Warchol), his sister Janis Boroznoff and husband Paul; sister-in-law Georgann Tallia and husband Doug; his special and much-loved daughter Allyson Pontier and husband Rob and his most cherished granddaughters Amanda, Emma and Allison, and godson/nephew Matthew Tallia.
