Robert Reed Obituary
Robert Edwin Reed, 90, of Edinburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at his home. Robert was born on December 11, 1932, in Springfield, the son of Ralph and Haldeen (Van Deveer) Reed. He married Nancy Anderson in March 1958 and they just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Robert served in the United States Air Force, which he was very proud of. He was a farmer and loved to travel all over the world. He was a very generous man who loved helping people.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, William Reed, of Edinburg; daughter, Shirley (Jerry) Frost, of Edinburg and Terri (Jeff) Casteel, of Illiopolis; grandchildren, Chris Pritchard, Lesly Tisdale, Isaac Frost, Joe Hunsley, Amy Hunsley, and Christian Rucker; great grandchildren, Kearra Pritchard, Courtney Pritchard, Christopher Pritchard, Elena Tisdale, Stephen Tisdale, Samantha Tisdale, Silas Manneris, Ruth Gibbons, Abie Hunsley, and Nathan Hunsley; great great grandchildren, Cerenity Gibbons, Freya Wingo, and Oliver Hamilton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 11:30AM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 109 E. Washington Street in Edinburg.
Burial will follow at Edinburg Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Edinburg United Methodist Church.
Wilson Park Funeral Home in Edinburg is in charge of arrangements.
